A. Transportation

 

Job Title: Driver

 

1). Full-time: Driver--Commercial Front End Load truck

The Driver—Commercial (FEL) drives a commercial front-end load truck to provide prompt, courteous and complete waste removal for commercial customers.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Performs complete pre-trip inspection including, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls

  • Drives heavy diesel truck to and from customer locations and disposal area(s).

  • Moves waste bin to position accessible by truck and closes all enclosure gates, as necessary.

  • Operates hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.

  • Cleans waste from the packer blade and truck body on each landfill or transfer station run.

  • Courteously interacts with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.

  • Cleans up the area around accidental waste spills

  • Reads route sheets to determine day’s schedule and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by dispatcher or supervisor.

  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) and other forms.

  • Perform all driver check-in procedures upon returning to the facility at the end of the day.

  • Operates other waste collection vehicles, as required.

  • Follows all safety policies and procedures

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

 

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement.

  • As verified by a current MVR/driver abstract, must meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51

  • Must meet Impact Waste Management Services Driver MVR Qualification Standards.

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification

  • One year commercial truck driving experience.

2). Part-time: Driver--Residential Manual Rear Load truck.

 

We are currently accepting resumes/applications for Driver—Residential (Manual).

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs complete pre-trip inspection including, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls.

  • Drives heavy diesel truck along residential routes and to disposal area(s).

  • Climbs into and out of truck at customer locations and disposal area(s).

  • Lifts and carries residential waste to truck and deposits into compactor.

  • Operates hand hydraulic controls to cycle compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.

  • Courteously interacts with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors.

  • Writes labels and tags unsatisfactory waste containers and/or refuse.

  • Cleans up the area around an accidental waste spill.

  • Reads route sheets to determine day’s schedule and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by dispatcher and/or supervisor.

  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) and other forms.

  • Perform all driver check-in procedures upon returning to the facility at the end of the day.

  • Operates other waste collection vehicles, as required.

  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.

We have a Driver—Class A positions. The Driver—Class A drives tractor-trailer and/or roll off truck to and from customer locations and/or disposal area(s) to provide prompt, courteous and complete waste disposal and/or transfer services for industrial customers.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Performs complete pre-trip inspection including, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls

 4). Full-time: Driver—Class A [med-waste].

 

We have a Driver—Class A positions. Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and the pickup and delivery of medical waste from customers to disposal facilities. Must maintain compliance with DOT regulations. Requires valid CDL with clean driving record, 6-12 months of hazardous waste hauling experience, hazardous materials.  The Driver—Class A [med-waste] drives to and from customer locations and/or disposal area(s) to provide prompt, courteous and complete waste disposal and/or transfer services for industrial customers.

 

5). Crews: Helper (Part-time)

 

The Helper rides on garbage truck and assists Driver in providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal for residential customers.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Rides on the outside or inside of the truck while servicing residential customers on route.

  • Climbs onto and off the truck to load refuse, waste and poly carts.

  • Lifts and carries trash bags and containers to the truck for disposal.

  • Operates packing mechanism and various lever/handles to activate lifting/loading mechanism.

  • Assists Driver in safety backing up the truck by directing the driver from the ground.

  • Cleans behind the compactor blade with shovel and hoe when directed.

  • Courteously interacts with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.

  • Cleans up the area around accidental waste spills.

  • Sprays and cleans the hopper and truck.

  • Drives commercial vehicle on occasion, as required.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

1). Job Title: Outside Sales Representatives—Commercial Business Non-hazardous Waste (container sizes, 96 gallons, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 cubic yards)

 

We have Commercial Non-hazardous Waste Sales Representative positions. Work part-time in the city that you live in. Make your own hours, and make extra income.

 

The Commercial Non-hazardous Waste Sales Representative proactively prospects and sells our service to commercial customers that generate non-hazardous solid wastes.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Prospects and sells all lines of commercial waste business offered at the division.

  • Identifies leads, manages prospects and acquires new, profitable commercial and industrial business.

  • Provides lead generation for permanent sales opportunities to the appropriate inside sales representative personnel.

  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations and follows up with key decision makers.

  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the company’s available services, lines of business and, pricing structures.

  • Regularly meets with Sales Manager for review of weekly sales activities and prospective customers.

  • Fills out all required Customer Service Agreements (CSA), waste profiles, and other miscellaneous reports and paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Participates in company-sponsored training courses, meetings, and discussions regarding the classification and characterization of commercial waste.

 

This is a commission based temporary sales position with the potential of salary based permanent position. This position also offers cell phone, laptop, office supply, and automobile allowances.

The Commercial Non-hazardous Waste Regional Sales Representative proactively prospects and sells our service to commercial customers that generate non-hazardous solid wastes.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Prospects and sells all lines of commercial/industrial waste business offered at the division.

  • Identifies leads manages prospects and acquires new, profitable commercial and industrial business.

  • Provides lead generation for permanent sales opportunities to the appropriate inside sales representative.

  • Builds long-term relationships with contractors in the assigned market area.

  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations and follows up with key decision makers.

  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the company’s available services, lines of business and, pricing structures.

  • Develops and maintains and awareness of market behaviors and competitive trends and responds accordingly.

  • Track information regarding all prospective customers on required format.

  • Interprets physical and chemical data from environmental laboratories and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

  • Regularly meets with Sales Manager for review of weekly sales activities and prospective customers.

  • Fills out all required Customer Service Agreements (CSA), waste profiles, and other miscellaneous reports and paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Participates in company-sponsored training courses, meetings, and discussions regarding the classification and characterization of commercial (industrial) waste.

  • Participates in company-sponsored activities as required. Attend trade shows and chamber of commerce events.

  • Responsible for collection activities as required.

  • Responds to service cancellation calls as required.

4). Job Title: Customer Service Representative

 

The customer Service Representative position responds to and resolves customer service inquiries, requests or complaints.

 

  • Handles all temporary business inquiries including describing services available, quoting price and selling services.

  • Respond effectively and courteously to customer service inquiries, requests or complaints. Returns all customer calls in a timely manner.

  • Notifies the appropriate personnel to respond to the customer’s problems and concerns.

  • Researches and resolves issues in a timely manner.

  • Utilizes weekly pricing sheets to price containers for live loads

  • Determines the appropriate disposal site, using division management guidance.

  • Initiates contacts with customers whose containers should be returned, or begin paying rent.

  • Review daily reports with the Customer Service Supervisor/Manager, Office Supervisor/Manager, and/or Sales Manager.

  • Enter service and route data into computer for billing and route scheduling purpose.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Processes orders, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
